Technical characteristics

- Dynamic range by GAIN/VOL control: more than 100 dB with the 3600º
ten-turn control (as opposed to the
customary 310º control), which enables us to more precisely appreciate
whether the transmitter is getting closer
or else moving away from us and what direction it comes from.
- Supply tension: 9 rechargeable Ni-Cd batterioes with a capacity of 700
mA which enables the receiver to
perform without any fluctuations, from 9 to 13 V. C.C.
- Charge: the maximum charge can be obtained in 14 to 16 hours with our
32 mA/220 V. charger which
is included along with the receiver. As an optional accessory we make our own
CC/CC converter which
enables you to both charge the batteries and use the receiver at the same
time, from the car lighter.

enables us to supply the receiver
with the car the car battery through the accessory that can be connected to the car

TONE PROCESSOR PT-3
This device, placed within our most advanced telemetry receivers, provides us with the following advantages:
1.- A trhree position switch.
-Low position: PT-3 is off. Only conventional system works.
-Middle position: PT-3 is on, as well as the conventional system.
-High position: PT-3 is on, as well
as the conventional system and the light of the meter blinks at the
rate of the received signal, to make night tracking easier.
2.- New signals are regenerated and produced out from
the received signals. Thus the sound comes out
louder, clearer and much longer, even from noisy signals.
The typical sensitivity of this system is 130 dBm.
3.- The reception angle can be greatly reduced up to the
PT-3 performance limit, which can be reached
by lowering the GAIN/VOL control.
4.- By using this device we can discriminate direct
signals from reflected ones, because the latter are weaker
than the former. Tiny differences which are imperceptible
by the ear or even the pointer, will be detected
by the PT-3 and thus transformed in large acoustic and
visual differences, for a better appreciation.
Should we have to know where an animal exactly is hiding, when very close to us but amidst a thick piece of undergrowth, PT-3 enables us to find it with an error of very few centimetres. PT-3 is also very helpful in order to discern whether the animal is getting closer or away from us.

LEARN TO USE THE TONE PROCESSOR PT3.
ITS GREAT ADVANTAGES
Smaller angle = higher precision
By using a receiver with a PT3 the angle is considerably reduced, so that we can better precise where the transmitter is.
¡ Rebounds no longer deceive us !
PT-3 enables you to precisely establish the actual direction the emitting signal comes from when it is apparently received from several directions.
A few inches forth and again back
We can precise determine whether the transmitter is getting closer or away from us by moving the receiver just a few inches to and fro.
Battery life-time:
Small, compact receivers up to 216 MHz:
-10 hours either with or without PT-3.
-9 hours with PT-3 and pointer light on.
UHF compact receivers (430 MHz)
-9 hours either with or without PT-3.
-7 hours with PT-3 and meter light on.
Accessories: due to the reduction of autonomy when using
PT-3, it is advisable, just in case we run out of
battery power, to have ready at hand in the car the following accessories:
1.- Power supply wire for the car lighter socket, included with our receivers.
2.- Charger for the car lighter socket, ref. 127.
3.- External battery holder with a rubber case, in order
to be able to connect an external supply with AA-type
alcaline batteries to the ALI/EXT (output power) socket at the
back of the set.
NB.: We reccomend the middle position (light off) in daylight, in order to save battery power.
